No injuries were reported in a house fire on Crittenden Road Monday morning.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue and Suffolk Police responded to the fire in the 7100 block. It was reported at 9:51 a.m., and the first unit arrived seven minutes later, according to a city press release.

The fire was in a second-story addition over the attached garage. It did not spread into the living quarters of the home, which neighbors said had been unoccupied for about a year.

The fire was declared under control at 10:22 a.m.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Suffolk Fire Marshal’s Office.
