Motorcyclist airlifted after crash

Police wrap up their investigation of a crash on Bridge Road Tuesday morning that sent a female motorcyclist to the hospital.
A motorcyclist was airlifted to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital after a crash on Bridge Road Tuesday morning.
The accident involved the female motorcyclist and a pick-up truck, according to a city news release. It happened at 7:14 a.m.
The woman was airlifted by Nightingale for treatment of injuries that were believed to be serious. Part of the road was closed as police investigated.
The cause remains under investigation, according to the release.
