Registration is currently open for the Suffolk Youth Athletic Association’s 2014-15 winter field hockey league. The league is open to girls from the age of 7 (as of July 1) to high school seniors. Teams will be divided by age, beginners to advanced.

Games will be played every Saturday from Dec. 6 through Jan. 24 from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at SYAA’s Diamond Springs Park on 432 Kings Fork Road.

Teams will practice before each game, with no mid-week practices. All participants must have a mouthpiece, shin guards, hockey stick and ball. Some sticks may be available for loan to new players.

The fee to register is $40 before Nov. 15 and $60 after. Download the registration form at www.SuffolkSYAA.com, make checks payable to SYAA and mail payment and registration form to SYAA, P.O. Box 3081, Suffolk, VA 23439-3081.
