Robert L. Phillips Sr., 77, answered the heavenly call to take his eternal rest on Dec. 6, 2014.

He is survived by his wife, Doris W. Phillips, and his son, Robert L. Phillips Jr. Mr. Phillips retired from the ILA 1248 after more than 40 years of faithful service.

Visitation with the family will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, 2014, at Garden of Prayer Worship Center, 1001 Church St., Norfolk. The homegoing celebration will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014, at the Garden of Prayer Worship Center. Crocker Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
