A motorcyclist was sent to the hospital after a wreck at the intersection of College Drive and Bridge Road on Monday evening.

City spokesman Tim Kelley said the accident was reported at 5:04 p.m. It involved a motorcycle and a car. The motorcyclist was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital by ground ambulance with injuries that were not considered life-threatening, Kelley said. There were no reported injuries to anyone in the vehicle.

A northbound section of Bridge Road was closed for a period of time. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
