UPDATED: Police have obtained warrants for a man in connection with Saturday’s stabbing.

Larry Joe Holmes, 32, has been charged in the stabbing of his brother, Robert Holmes, 38, according to a city press release. Holmes is charged with malicious wounding and shoot, stab, cut or wound.

Robert Holmes suffered injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening, according to the release.

Earlier: A stabbing on Saturday evening sent a male victim to the hospital with injuries, according to a city press release.

The incident was reported at 7:01 p.m. and took place in the 80 block of Stacey Drive.

The victim was flown via Nightingale to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, according to the news release from city spokesman Tim Kelley. His condition was unknown early after the incident.

Police were still investigating, Kelley added.
