Junior Logan Eubanks has continued to lead NR after a stellar 2013-14 season and has had a hand in all four of the qualifications so far this season.

He has qualified for the state meet in the 100-meter backstroke and the 200-meter medley relay in which he also swims the backstroke. Joining him on the relay team are seniors Michael Betts (breaststroke), Donte Cartagena (butterfly) and Cody Edwards (freestyle).

Eubanks has qualified for the regional meet in the 200-meter freestyle, as well as the 200 free relay and the 400 free relay. Betts, Cartagena and Edwards are also his teammates on those two relays.

Nansemond River’s boys’ and girls’ teams return to the pool for competition on Jan. 8 when they face Indian River High School at the Great Bridge Swim and Racquet Club.
