Denbigh High School’s boys’ basketball team came close on Tuesday to its second victory in the Ironclad Conference this season, but King’s Fork High School instead earned a 54-53 road win.

Junior guard Keith Stagg led the Bulldogs with 18 points, senior forward Dale Roscoe contributed 13 points, junior center Chris Roscoe had eight and junior guard Deshaun Wethington had seven.

King’s Fork (11-7, 4-2) visits Lakeland High School (9-9, 3-3) on Friday.
