Woman robs Bridge Road bank

UPDATED 2:07 p.m.: Police say the suspect was a black female in her early 20s. No weapon was displayed. She received an undisclosed amount of currency and left in a late model black Chevrolet Malibu.

Earlier: No one was injured during a bank robbery that happened Thursday morning.

Police say a black woman walked into the BB&T in the 3100 block of Bridge Road at 10:04 a.m. She presented a note demanding money and then fled on foot.

City spokeswoman Diana Klink said early Thursday afternoon that she did not yet have further details, including whether the woman received any money or whether she had a weapon.
