A crash involving two tractor-trailers closed a portion of South Quay Road on Tuesday afternoon.

It happened at 3:37 p.m. in the 7800 block, near Elwood Road. Neither of the drivers was injured, and both of the trailers were empty.

One westbound lane was closed for a while as crews righted one of the tractor-trailers, which landed on its side. It reopened about 6:30 p.m.

Troy Meads, 22, the driver of the tractor-trailer that landed on its side, has been charged with reckless driving — failure to maintain control.
