Julius Mandell Horton, 83, of 804 W. Constance Road Apt. 320, passed away March 30, 2015, at Sentara Obici Hospital. He was born Oct. 4, 1931, in Suffolk, where he resided.

He worked in many factories throughout his life in New York and Suffolk. His hobbies were playing cards, dominoes and reading his Bible. He loved the Lord.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Vivian L. Wilson, and cousin, Willie Horton, of Utah.

He leaves to cherish his memories his immediate cousins, Claretta Horton, of Suffolk, Clayton Horton, of West Valley, Utah, Altonya Waters (Leroy), Darius Horton, Khalil Horton, Leronta Horton, Tavarez Horton, Lasandra Boone (Shawn), of Suffolk, Willie Horton Jr. (Amanda), of South Jordan, Utah, Alesha Horton, of Taylorsville, Utah; special cousin, James Baker; special family friend Keasha Jennings and Vontajah Jennings (JuJu); special friend, Linda Everette; and a host of relatives and friends.

A homegoing service will be held Saturday, April 4, 2015, at 1 p.m. at Harris Funeral Home. Elder Alexander Osborne will officiate.
