A Chesapeake man is dead after a farm accident that turned fatal, according to a city press release.

The accident was reported at 3:46 p.m. It occurred in the 3900 block of Butler Drive.

The victim was found to be operating a tractor that overturned, according to the release. Adam Thourogood Sr., 44, of Chesapeake, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
