The Peanut City Cloggers brought home a slew of awards from the Beach Blast Competition, held May 16 in Rocky Point, N.C.

The group won six Overall Grand Champion awards, and individual members won four more Overall Grand Champion awards.

For team dances, PCC won first place and was named Overall Grand Champion in the Elementary Running Set Precision, Young Adult Southern Appalachian, Young Adult Country Hoedown, Young Adult Running Set Hoedown, Young Adult Open Hoedown and Young Adult Show categories.

Other team awards included first places in Elementary Country Hoedown and Junior Running Set Hoedown and second place for Pee Wee Line and Pee Wee Open.

Solo Overall Grand Champions included the following: Joann Price, Traditional Female; Bob Greene, Traditional Male and Contemporary Male; and Jordan West, A Cappella.

Solo winners, in their respective age categories, were as follows:

Traditional Female: 2nd place, Reece Mumford; 3rd place, Faith Babcock; 2nd place, Olivia Morris; 3rd place, Leia Dotson; 1st place, Sarah Wollett; 2nd place, Judi Lester; and 1st place, Joann Price

Traditional Male: 2nd Place, Harrison Storms; 1st place, Bob Greene

Flatfoot (under 15): 2nd place, Mackenzie West; 1st place, Harrison Storms

Flatfoot (16 and over): 3rd place, Lindsay Skeen; 2nd place, Sarah Wollett

A Cappella: 1st place, Jordan West

Contemporary Female: 3rd place, Grace Pierce

Contemporary Male: 1st place, Harrison Storms; 1st place, Bob Greene

The Peanut City Cloggers will perform in the area Aug. 1 at Murfreesboro’s Watermelon Fest and Aug. 4 at Obici Hospital for the National Night Out celebration in Suffolk.
