Acting deputy city manager announced

An acting deputy city manager has been announced for the city of Suffolk.

D. Scott Mills, the current director of planning and community development, will become the acting deputy city manager on Monday, according to a city press release. The announcement came from Patrick Roberts, interim city manager.

Mills has been in his current position since 2000 and has worked for the city for 28 years.

Roberts became interim city manager on May 16 following the departure of Selena Cuffee-Glenn, who took the same job in Richmond.
