Police are investigating an alleged incident that took place at the Morgan Memorial Library on July 1, according to a city press release.

A 16-year-old female reported to her mother that a man, unknown to her, had inappropriate physical contact with her in the men’s restroom at the library sometime between 10 and 11 a.m. that day. The mother then contacted police.

City spokeswoman Diana Klink said she could not confirm how the teen wound up in the men’s room. On Wednesday, she noted that “all activities are believed to be consensual.”
