One man is dead following a Sunday afternoon crash.

Police and firefighters responded to the crash in the 600 block of Turlington Road, according to a city press release. Emergency Dispatch received the call at 2:32 p.m.

The accident involved a pick-up truck that left the roadway, according to the release.

Aron Holloway, 73, was airlifted to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with critical injuries. He was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
