Steve Anthony Milteer

Steve Anthony Milteer, 69, of 216 Knight St., Suffolk, died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2015, in his home. He was a native of Suffolk and son of the late Ruth Riddick Milteer and Melvin Milteer.

Steve was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School, and he attended Norfolk State University. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was previously employed at Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Norfolk Naval Base and Naval Air Rework Facility.

Steve was a member of East End Baptist Church.

He leaves to cherish his memory one brother, who was truly dedicated, Melvin Milteer Jr., of Suffolk; four sisters, Rebecca Evans (Wilbur) Phyllistine Pegram (Leon) and Sandy Saunders (Steven), all of Suffolk, and Linda Tann (William), of Portsmouth; and a host of nieces, and nephews, family and friends.

Mr. Milteer’s visitation will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 22, 2015, at the funeral home, and the family will receive at all other times at 1226 White Marsh Road, Suite 222, Suffolk. A celebration of life service will take place at noon Monday, Nov. 23, 2015, at the funeral home chapel, and he will be laid to rest at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery.
