Silver at last year’s Suffolk Art League Antiques Show and Sale was among the many offerings, which also included jewelry, porcelain and artwork.

The Suffolk Art League will hold its 33rd annual Antiques Show and Sale at King’s Fork Middle School, 350 Kings Fork Road, on Feb. 27-28.

The show will feature 39 antiques and collectibles dealers from the mid-Atlantic region offering a wide variety of items for sale, including furniture, silver, jewelry, porcelain, artwork, coin operated machines, linens and much more. In addition, clock repair by Father Time Antiques, crystal repair by Art Glass of Tidewater and jewelry repair and cleaning by D.B. Bowles Jewelers will be available.

Along with favorite dealers who are returning, there will be some new faces and offerings. Country store, advertising, oak furniture, and items from primitive to Victorian will be displayed.

Marking the 100th anniversary of Mr. Peanut, Peanut Pals will participate this year as well. The organization will have related merchandise on display and for sale.

Dixie Peachy, show chairperson for all 33 years, said many patrons view it as a reunion, each year joining friends for shopping and catch-up time over a meal or refreshments. The cafeteria will be serving barbecue and Brunswick stew, chicken salad and homemade desserts.

A weekend getaway to the Outer Banks will be raffled during the show. Tickets are $5 each to be entered in a drawing for a weekend in Kill Devil Hills.

Tickets are available in advance from the Suffolk Art League office, 118 Bosley Ave., or by calling 925-0448.

Proceeds from the show support year-round activities of the Suffolk Art League, including exhibits, classes and workshops at the Suffolk Art Gallery, in Suffolk schools and now in several North Suffolk locations. It also offers lectures, bus excursions and performances. Scholarships are also available for students in grades 6 to 12 to begin or continue their artistic pursuit.

Hours for the antiques show are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $6.
