Louis “Bug” Nathaniel Tucker Jr., 35, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2016. He was born June 6, 1980 in Suffolk.

Louis was baptized and rooted in Christian experience at an early age at Metropolitan Baptist Church. Louis currently attended Grove Baptist Church in Portsmouth.

Louis was a 1998 graduate of Nansemond River High School. He graduated from Virginia State University and Indiana University of Pennsylvania and was currently employed by the City of Norfolk Department of Human Services

Left to cherish his memory is his loving and devoted wife, Shawn Tucker; one daughter, Shaniya Danielle; one son, Louis Shawn; father, Louis Sr.; mother, Ruby Tucker; grandmother, Ruby Moore; one sister, Mironda Reid (Brynden); one nephew, Dion Jordan; one godsister, Gabrielle Cooper; several aunts, uncles, godchildren, cousins and friends.

Mr. Tucker’s visitation will take place from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2016, at T.E. Cooke-Overton Funeral Home Inc. A celebration of life service will take place at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 8, 2016, at Metropolitan Baptist Church, 125 County St., Suffolk, VA 23434, and he will be laid to rest at Carver Memorial Cemetery.
