Sunfall at The Riverfront, a new condominium community in North Suffolk, plans to make its grand opening in the next few weeks.

“We are very excited about these beautiful condos,” said Jeni Millikin, a Terry-Peterson Residential Companies agent.

Sunfall officially opened to the public in May and has already allotted a handful of housing contracts. East West Communities, the community developer, has developed communities in the Hampton Roads area since the mid-1980s.

The community features a clubhouse, an 18-hole golf course, tennis and volleyball courts, two playgrounds and pools, a 43-acre lake and several walking and jogging paths. There is also a full-time activities director available who will arrange various community events.

“There is something for everyone here,” said Mark Edwards, senior vice president of East West Realty.

Sunfall encompasses 31 detached single-family homes and 54 multifamily attached homes. The detached homes are cottage-style, while the attached homes are grouped five to a building.

Both models feature four different floor plan styles ranging between two to four bathrooms and bedrooms. Amenities include granite counter tops, hardwood floors, covered porches and conditioned Florida rooms.

The attached homes will range from 1,730 to 2,500 square feet, with starting around $250,000. Detached models range from 2,800 to 3,300 square feet, with prices starting above $400,000.

The detached homes line the exterior of the community, with 10 of the 31 homes overlooking the Nansemond River. The attached homes populate the interior.

Homeowners of both attached and detached models will have to pay monthly condo and biannual homeowners’ association fees.

The feedback has been great so far, said Edwards.

“Even the residents who already have homes in Riverfront are looking into the new homes for their relatives,” Edwards added. “This is the most anticipated condo project that we have been a part of.”
