Player of the Week Nominees

Following are this week’s nominees for the Duke Automotive-Suffolk News-Herald Player of the Week:

Elvie Sellers, senior for Nansemond-Suffolk Academy tennis: Sellers won both of her singles and doubles matches for the Lady Saints tennis team this week. In those two days, the Lady Saints were 2-0.

Tytionna Smith, senior for King’s Fork High School cross country: Smith placed 13th in King’s Fork’s cross country conference postseason meet. She received all-conference honors. The team placed third in the meet and qualified for regionals.

Ashlyn Rogers, junior for Nansemond River High School field hockey: Rogers scored two goals and assisted on one in the Lady Warriors’ 10-0 win over Hampton High School in the quarterfinals of the Conference 10 tournament.
