Paige Christiansen was the lone representative of the Nansemond-Suffolk Academy field hockey program on the all-state team.
Christiansen, who was the only senior on the team this year, received second-team honors.
“She had a phenomenal season,” Lady Saints coach Ashley Skinner said. “She’s such a leader on the field, and it’s been a pleasure coaching her the last five years. She has such great work ethic and sets the pace for her teammates in practice and games.”
Christiansen is also a five-year starter on the varsity team and has started more than 98 field hockey games during her time at NSA. She has also been a captain for two consecutive years. She was named first-team TCIS this year after being named all-TCIS last year as a junior.
