A new facility for owners in Western Branch to board their dogs and cats in style is steadily approaching a summer opening.

The new PetSuites of America facility is expected to open on June 14, according to Julianne Reisenfeld, a spokesperson for the company with The Owens Group. The $3.7 million, 20,000-square-foot pet care facility is under construction at the corner of Taylor and Pughsville roads by the 7-Eleven.

PetSuites will hire 10 full-time and 14 part-time Chesapeake employees for facility, which features an adjacent 7,000 feet of additional outdoor yard space, including two pools for daily canine play time.

“We chose to open our 20,000 square feet of fun in Chesapeake, because it is a city that loves their pups, just like us,” Vice President of Operations Ronny Rowell stated in the press release. “If you love dogs like we do, you’ll paws-itively adore our huge play areas and doggie pool parties.”

Cats and dogs will enjoy townhouses with raised beds and televisions. PetSuites focuses on socialization, offering group play for dogs as well as individual play time for those that need special attention, according to the press release. There are also cat play areas for their own specialized care.

PetSuites has more than 15 years of industry experience and operates 13 locations in five states, per the press release.

“Whether you are dropping off furry family members for daycare festivities, pet spa pampering or a vacation stay, there is peace of mind knowing that PetSuites is caring for your pet’s needs with genuine love and exceptional care,” per the press release.
