William Dewell Hartzog

William Dewell Hartzog, 98, formerly of Elamville, died Saturday, August 21, 1999, at Pike Manor Health Care Facility.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m., Sunday, August 22, 1999, from the Elam Baptist Church with Rev. George Thompson and Rev. Ken May officiating. Burial followed in the Elam Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge officiating.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Verlie Hartzog of Ariton; daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn and Osbern Henley of Troy; grandchildren, Delton (Patricia) Hartzog of Gadsden; Danny (Emily) Hartzog of Clayton; Joe (Millie) Hartzog of Mobile; Pam (Gary) Bennett of Dothan; Mellisa (Robert) Parsons of Ozark; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and a sister-in-law, Bobbie Hartzog of Dothan.

Pallbearers were Delton Hartzog, Danny Hartzog, Robert Parsons, Joe Hartzog, Gary Bennett and Heath Hartzog.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Elam Baptist Church.

Visitation was held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., on Saturday, August 21, 1999.
