More auditions scheduled for teen fashion show

If you are a young person 14-19 and you didn't get the chance to audition for one of the biggest teenage events to hit the Hampton Roads area, you will have one more chance at 2 p.m. Saturday. Auditions will be held at the Beautiful People Theater, 3237 Tyre Neck Rd., beside Hardee's in the Churchland section of Portsmouth.

Students up to 18 will need their parents' consent to participate and proper forms will be available at the theater at the time of arrival.

The purpose of the audition is for Sekenia Williams, the owner of BP Theater, to produce a fashion show call "So Fresh and So Clean," which will be held at 7 p.m. Jan. 26, 2003, at the Radisson Hotel on Brambleton Avenue, Norfolk.

All proceeds from this event will be donated to the Non Profit 501(c)3 Beautiful People Children's Theater to continue their work.

"I am asking that female and male high school students in Suffolk come out Saturday for the audition. Fifty-25 females and 25 males will get the chance to walk down the catwalk in designer clothes and receive the distinguished title of one of the most Beautiful teenagers in Virginia. Teen-aged celebrities will also be invited to the event," said Williams.

After the fashion show the teen models will pose for photos, hold press interviews and hand out gift bags. Tom McLemore, principal at Nansemond River High School said that he supports the program. "I have been making announcements all week long so that students can take advantage of this event," said McLemore.

Williams is a 1982 graduate of the former John Yeates High School and is the owner of Beautiful People Model Talent and Casting Agency. He is the founder of

"The Beautiful People Players" a non-profit children's theater committee to keeping kids in the arts. Williams is a designer and co-owner of

"The Abasi Bomani Collection" clothing line. He is a playwright, director, actor, and casting director. He has cast and co-starred in two films with Tim Reid, "Nothing 2 Lose, and most recently "For Real." Williams also co-directed "Back Up Out My Way," a musical video by Magoo and D.J. Kool.
