Water service interrupted

Published Monday, July 29, 2002

Water service was interrupted for about three hours and one half hours on Monday morning in the East End section of Suffolk.

Suffolk Utility employees worked for from about 10 a.m. to 1:30 in soaring temperatures on the corners of Sixth St. and Truman Rd. to restore customers' service as soon as possible.

Albert Moor, director of Public Utilities, said that the interruption in service was due to a busted main water line.

About 75 customers were affected
