Mary Ann Wright, 63, of 2525 E. Washington St., Suffolk, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 16, 2002. Born in Chrisfield, Md., she was a daughter of Geneva Thomas of Suffolk, and the late James Ames.

She was a companion nurse.

Her survivors include her daughters, Gloria Norfleet, and son-in-law Vincent Norfleet, of Charleston, S.C., and Marella Jenkins, and son-in-law, William Jenkins, of Kentucky; her sons, James Wright Jr., and his wife, Cynthia Wright, and William Wright and Samantha Johnson; her sister, Helen Boone, and her husband, Lionel Boone Jr., of Gates, N.C.; six grandchildren, Nikki and Jenine Wright and Latesha McNeely (Shawn McNeely); Vincent Norfleet, Dominique and Tamara Jenkins; two great-grandchildren,

Markee Wright and Elijah McNeely; several nieces and nephews, a goddaughter and dear friend, Carmen Val Milteer and Doris Eure.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Faith Temple Apostolic Church by Bishop Obadiah Colander. Interment will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at 2525 E. Washington St.

Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory.

Crocker Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
