William H. Elner

William Herbert Elner, 70, of 219 Proctor Road, Suffolk, died Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2002, at his residence. He was a native of Nansemond County, and a son of the late Herbert and Maggie Sears Elner.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
His survivors include two daughters, Yvonne Scott and Renee Boone, both of Suffolk; one brother, George Elner of Chesapeake; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26 in Tabernacle Baptist Church, Nansemond Parkway, by Elder Robert Warren. Interment will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at 4613 Sleepy Hole Road, Suffolk, and 3531 Dunedin Drive, Chesapeake, and will assemble at4613 Sleepy Hole Road for the procession to the church.
The body will be placed in the church at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Crocker Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
