Saints, Lady Saints end season in losses

Nansemond-Suffolk Academy bowed out in the first round of the TCIS volleyball tournament on Tuesday, falling 25-21, 25-6, 25-9 to host Greenbrier Christian Academy. The Saints finished the 2002 season with a record of 5-12, up from 1-16 last season.
The Lady Saint basketball team also lost Thursday, falling 63-58 to the Lady Gators in their final conference game. Ashley Winslow scored 18 points for the Lady Saints, who will be the fourth seed in the TCIS tournament, which begins Wednesday at Norfolk Christian. The Saints will play Hampton Roads Academy at 5:30 p.m.
