Three groups to benefit from dinner/auction

If you want to contribute to three charitable organizations while enjoying a fun evening, then the place you should be on May 3 is at Kings Fork Middle School. A dinner and auction will be held with dinner beginning at 5:30 p.m. and the auction beginning at 7 p.m.
Proceeds from this event will go toward the Suffolk YMCA Camp Scholarships, Suffolk Habitat for Humanity and the Suffolk Homeless Shelter.
Co-chairs for the event are Carmen Halley and Barbara Chapman.
The event will include a treasure shop with priced items, a country store with baked goods; raffle tickets to a Redskins football game, a live auction and a silent auction.
Halley said that they are asking the community to come out and help Suffolk Christian Church to lend a helping hand with their support. "You will be glad that you did because you will find about 100 choice items to bid on that will be included in the auctions," she said.
Examples of items up for bid are Silver Tea Service, antique glassware, a weekend at Nags Head, cedar chest, large mirror with frame, day of beauty at a spa, a set of porch furniture, a
painting by
John Taylor, bedroom furniture, wicker coffee table, iron bed, antique chandelier, Singer sewing machine in cabinet and accessories, set of porch furniture, trunk, Victorian vases,
large bowl, corner shelves and more.
