Kickboxing champion Lewis to hold May 9 seminar

World kickboxing champion Joe Lewis will be appearing at Wayne Spencer's tae kwon do class on May 9 at Triple T Gymnastics center at 619 E. Constance Rd. Lewis will be holding a kickboxing seminar for interested visitors. For those that register early, the cost is a non-refundable $25, with $20 for the spouse and $20 for children 12 and over. Branch golf tournament to be held May 2

The Inaugural Larry Branch Memorial Golf Tournament will be held Friday, May 2 with a shotgun start beginning at 1 p.m. at the Suffolk Golf Course. The fee is $200 for a four-person team.

YMCA to hold lifeguarding classes

The Suffolk YMCA will be holding lifeguarding classes in May and June. The first class will be held from 3:30 to 8:30 p.m. Fridays from May 2-30

The second class, designed for those finishing up the school year, will be held June 9-13. Participants must be at least 16 years of age.
