James Arthur Langston of Suffolk entered into eternal rest Thursday, Dec. 25, 2003, in Obici Hospital.

He was a native of Suffolk, and was a son of the late Thelma Sweat Langston.

He will be missed by his father, Roland E. Langston; brothers, Milton W. Langston (Marsha) of Gates, N.C.; Kerry C. Langston and Otis Burtell Edwards, both of Suffolk; sister, Thelma Cynthia Langston of Suffolk; six aunts, Ruth Boone, Annie Wiggins, Evelyn Collins, Ruby Edwards, Maynna White, and Lillin Copeland; uncle, Rolinzi Sweat; and two great-aunts, Geneva Watford and Lillian Russell.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday in Palm Tree Baptist Church by the Rev. Dallas Sharpe. Burial will be in Langston Family Cemetery.

Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday in Gates County Funeral Home, which is in charge of the arrangements.
