Police are searching for two suspects who robbed a northern Suffolk eatery around 9:30 p.m. Monday.

Witnesses told authorities that two men - one black, one white - went into the McDonalds, at the intersection of Townpoint Road and College Drive, displayed a chrome handgun and took money from the store, said Lt. Debbie George, spokeswoman for the Suffolk Police Department. The suspects fled the store on foot in an unknown direction.

No employees were injured and no customers were in the restaurant when the robbery occurred, George said.

Witnesses have described the suspects as being in their late teens to mid-20s, 5 feet 9 inches tall, and wearing dark clothing, gloves and something covering their faces.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective C. Gonzalez at 923-2194 or Crime Line at 1-800-Lock-u-up.
