Suffolk youth dies after falling through ice

Delvin Lesselle Jones, 14, who fell through the ice of a retention pond at the end of Obici Boulevard on Friday afternoon, died of his injuries late Friday evening. The 14-year-old Forest Glen Middle School student, who was in 29-degree water for roughly 80 minutes, died at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital around 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Future information will be published as it becomes available.
