Marquetta Davidson Hicks, 51, of Northbrooke Avenue, Suffolk, died Friday, June 27, 2003, in Obici Hospital. She was a native of Logan County, W.Va., homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church, Suffolk. She was a graduate of Smithfield High School. Her parents, Rissie Rebecca Marrs and John Monroe Davidson preceded Mrs. Hicks in death.

Survivors include her husband, Robert L. Hicks; daughter, Elizabeth Kate Hicks; son, John Robert Hicks, all of Suffolk; sister, Peggy D. House, Windsor; five brothers, George E. Davidson, Sunset Beach, N.C.; Martin M. Davidson, Tallahassee, Fla.; James H. Davidson, Vail, Ariz.; Ralph Davidson, Clifford D. Davidson, both of Carrollton.

The graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, June 30, in St. Luke's Memorial Park, Smithfield, with the Rev. Lee Hess officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2-3:30 p.m. Sunday, June 29, in Colonial Funeral Home, Smithfield.
