Community health fair April 5

Lakeview Missionary Baptist Church will be holding a community health fair on Saturday, April 5, at the church on Brook Avenue.

"Staying Healthy to Live Longer" will offer free screenings for blood pressure, cholesterol, sickle cell anemia, blood glucose and prostate cancer.

There will be presentations on violence prevention by the Suffolk Police Department; the natural approach to good health, life saver demonstration skills; and stress management.

Identification kits will be available for children and survival kits for teens. Free refreshments will be provided to all participants. There will be face painting, snow cones and prize giveaways.

The event is being sponsored by the Suffolk branch of the NAACP Health Services, and the Omega Chapter of Chi Eta Phi Sorority Inc
