Arlindy Brown

On Sunday, Sept. 14, 2003, Ms. Arlindy Brown departed this life in Obici Hospital, Suffolk, after a prolonged illness. She was the daughter of the late Eugene and Lula Bolen Brown of Nansemond County, and was born on May 24, 1917.
She was educated in the public schools of Nansemond County.
She was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church and the Missionary Lodge No. 2.
She was the last survivor of nine siblings.
Those left to cherish her memory include a very devoted niece, Barbara Lee Gibbons; other special nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, in Gethsemane Baptist Church by the Rev. Nathaniel Scates Jr. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
The body will be taken to the church at 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
Crocker Funeral Home Inc. is handling arrangements.
