Walter R. Jordan Jr.

Walter Raleigh "Bow Tie" Jordan Jr., 68, of 505 Ocklawaha Ave., Suffolk, died Monday, Feb. 23, 2004, in his residence.
He was a native of Nansemond County, and a son of the late Walter Raleigh Jordan, Sr. and Victor Jordan.
He was an ice cream salesman.
He was a member of Balm of Gilead Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by five daughters, Joyce Ann Jones, Carmen Jones, Janice Parker (Clayton), Tracy Wiggins (Raymond), and Lisa Flood (Robert); five sons, Frank Jones (Tita), Morris Jones, Donnie White, Jerry King, and Mark Jones (Judy); 23 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; devoted friend, Gladys Jones; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Balm of Gilead Missionary Baptist Church by the Rev. Charles Leavell. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
The body will be taken to the church at 11:30 a.m.
Crocker Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
