Officer injured in traffic stop

Police Lt. Debbie J. George said Wednesday a Robbs Drive man was charged with felony assault on a police officer after driving over a patrolman's foot.
Officer J.N. Whitehead was treated at Obici Hospital after he issued a traffic summons to Michael B. Pittman, 51, while conducting a routine traffic stop on Pruden Boulevard at 1:18 p.m.
