Suffolk man indicted on murder charges

A grand jury on Tuesday indicted a Suffolk man for the August murder of Rodney L. Faulk.

Stacy Lovell Johnson, 27, of the 100 block of Clay Street will stand trial on charges of

first-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and discharging a firearm near a school.

Johnson is accused of killing Faulk on Aug. 28.

According to court records, police found Faulk, 28, in the 100 block of Halifax Street suffering from a single gunshot wound. He died on the way to Obici Hospital.

Johnson was on the lam for a month before finally surrendering to the Portsmouth Police Department in late September.
