Dictators of two greatest Fascist nations united

MUNICH, Germany (AP) - The militant heads of rearmed Germany and powerful Italy stood side by side on a reviewing stand this afternoon to watch crack troops of German's new Army parade by.

Reichsfuehrer Hitler proudly displayed to Premier Mussolini 10,000 handpicked troops goose-stepping by their platform the Koenigsplaatz, or royal square here. The troops swung by in full field entertainment.

II Duce watched the demonstration with a smile on his face, talking at the same time with the stern-faced Hitler. They seemed to be discussing the various units participating in the review.

Benito Mussolini and Adolph Hitler met today for the second time in their spectacular careers and Europe tensely awaited the result of their rendezvous.

Just playing, man stabbed by girl

William R. Johnson, 37 of 333 Spruce Street, lies in Lakeview Hospital with a deep knife-wound to the left side of the neck.

"It was all accidental. We were just playing," Johnson told Patrolman John Daughtrey, who investigated the wounding of the man.

The wounded man said that he and Dorothy Tyler, 346 Saratoga St., whom he described as "the girl I go with," were standing on Wellons Street, near the intersection with Saratoga, Saturday night between 8 to 9 p.m.

"We were just playing," Johnson said. "Don't give her no trouble over this."

Miss Cross to head council

Miss Emily Cross of Suffolk was recently elected president of the debate council at Randolph-Macon Woman's College.

Miss. Cross is one of the three members of the regular debate squads of who returned to the college this year.

Aces drop last game to Waverly

The Suffolk Athletic Club closed another baseball season here yesterday at league park when they dropped a 4-2 decision to Waverly. This was Waverly's first victory over the Aces in four tries this season.

The locals took to the lead by scoring two runs in the second inning. Walter Biggs hit a right field home run for the first score. Waverly picked up single runs in the seveneth and eighth innings to tie the score. Leavell hit a home run in the ninth and England hit to score Boothe from second base to win the game.
