River faculty reigns in intra-city court competition

Following in the footsteps of their Southeastern District champion boys basketball team, the Nansemond River faculty defeated Lakeland-which had previously beaten King's Fork-in the annual Suffolk high school faculty basketball game on Thursday at River. Each school received $250 in donations from the Downtown Locker Room, an athletic store in Chesapeake Square Mall, and the game raised another $200.
