Worker falls through skylight

Published Wednesday, March 30, 2005

Staff Report

Suffolk emergency crews responded to Amadus Industries on Holland Road Tuesday after a 36-year-old male fell approximately 25 feet through a skylight.

An engine company and medic unit was dispatched to the scene, said Capt. James Judkins, emergency services coordinator and spokesman for the Suffolk Fire Department.

Because of the distance of the fall and nature of injuries, the patient was air lifted to the trauma unit at Sentara Norfolk General. As of late Tuesday evening, no additional information was available regarding the identity of the patient or his condition. An investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
