Irene Brantley, 62, died February 28, 2006 at the East Pavilion. She was a daughter of the late Richard O. and Lizzie Ellis Brantley and a member of Black Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include a sister, Dorothy B. Cross and a brother, Floyd W. Brantley, both of Suffolk; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Irene was predeceased by a sister, Daisy Brantley and five brothers, Marvin, Alfred, Clarence, Richard and Calvin Brantley. A funeral will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Greg Kitts and the Rev. Ashley Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in Black Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
