McCain’s arrogance towards Obama

Published Monday, September 29, 2008

I was troubled by Senator McCain’s arrogance toward Senator Obama during the debate. He was condescending and in the attack mode during the debate. Maybe his behavior is due to his POW / PTS. If he cannot look at the person he is debating, how will he be able to provide diplomacy to our international allies and non-allies? This makes me believe he would be trigger happy. Maybe he was just incapable of looking Obama in the eye when he knew he was lying. His snobbish behavior is why most foreigners dislike us. This behavior will take race relations back 40 years.

I must compliment Senator Obama for remaining calm and respectful yet able to debate intelligently. That is the character of a true statesman and commander in chief.

Would you care to count how many times Zerobama interrupted Sen. McCain? These interruptions came during the time alloted to the senior senator for his commentary and response alloted by the rules. 23 times Obama injected commentary. Respect? None earned, none given, it was a deliberate attack to attmept to unravel John McCain's emotions and it failed. John McCain wasnt trigger happy.He took aim and slowly pulled the trigger and hit the bulls eye dead on target,exposing the messiah to be what he is arrogant,and pompous. Zerobama still thinks its all about him and only him.Nobama would be a disaster for the US at any time.At this particular time, he would be a catastrophe. What you saw in the debate was the second coming of Jimmah Carter. Nobama tells us that with McCain you get more of Bush, well its fact that with Zero you will get the policies of Carter who he admires so much. My guess is we'll be looking at Jimmy Carter's second term, based on the One's frequently-expressed admiration for his policies.Policies that today are still fresh in many minds. Failed policies both doemstic and international
I will never buy his Christian act. He made his true belives known in his books. he will stand with the Muslims He will also do his damndest to run roughshod over us on the Bill of Rights, just as Carter tried to do. Jimmah told his AG, "People shouldn't be allowed to have guns. Figure out a way to take them away from them." He will prevent any energy development, or even most reasearch and development. He has failed to see that just about every major oil company is advertising they are looking and searching for other sources of energy. But where are the funds suppose to come from when he taxes them to death and the government increases their profits on the same oil he wants to tax?
Overseas will be the real problem. He'll pursue exactly the same foreign policy as Carter's. He will desperately seek a foreign dictator to fall in love with, He will gut our military, on the principle "I've disarmed us unilaterally- will you join us, or at least not hurt us?" The One will have the following to chose from Ahmadinejad, Chavez,(probably) Putin and the little Hitler from North Korea, if not one of them but all of them.
Like Carter, the messiah will throw our allies under the bus, just as he has his own up to now. Or rather, throw them to the wolves. In the "Hope" that the wolves will accept us as at least as honorary members of their pack. But what happens when the raw meat is all gone?
I leave to your imagination. Like most egotists, he is at heart a weak, vain, vacuous individual, who cares nothing for anyone or anything other than himself. Everything he has done to date has been solely to bring him recognition, adulation, and power.
And assuming we survive the catastrophe that this idiot will cause, we'll spend the next forty years dealing with the mess he leaves behind.Just like Carter.

Staff: Please remove the above comment from "sbrwneyes021". Whether or not you dislike either candidate, the post at 10:16am is highly offensive. This person is considered a "troll" in internet terms and consistently submits irrelevant posts.

Thank you MrJiggyFly. Although I agree that OD is really vitriolic, and I personally do NOT agree with him/her, I agree thar sbrwneyes021's post is highly offensive. For those of us who know people who were POWs, and even if you don't, to suggest that someone, anyone, should still be a prisoner and exposed to torture is just wrong.

First, the "sbrneyes021" is offensive and I always find it amazing the things citizens are willing to say only when anonymous.
Second, I will counter the first opinon by saying that I thought it was disrespectful the way Mr. Obama kept referring to Mr. McCain as "John". How about Senator or Mr. McCain? His actions go against the way I was raised. I think Senator McCain, despite whatever differences they have, deserves his due. So this argument can go both ways.
As for McCain not looking at Senator Obama, I personally didn't read too far into it for several reasons. One, he is on TV, addressing both a crowd, a TV camera, and a moderator. Many times he was writing down notes. To infer that he will not look into the eyes of "allies or non-allies" is due to his time as a POW or that he snobbish, is pure nonsense and unrealistic to ascertain unless you are a close friend to the man. The same allegations were leveled against Admiral James Stockdale when he ran as H. Ross Perot's running mate. To make those unfounded, baseless comments ruin the real discourse of the election, which are the issues. The economy, the war in Iraq/Afghanistan, healthcare, etc. Amazing that it boils down to appearances, speaking ability, and artificial feelings on how the candidate makes you feel. But that is where we are in American politics.

Just a little info for you:

Not quite two years ago:
1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high;
2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon;
3) the unemployment rate was 4.5%.
4) the DOW JONES hit a record high-14,000 +
5) Americans were buying new cars, taking cruises, vacations overseas, living large!...

But Americans wanted CHANGE. In 2007 a Democratically controlled Congress took over and yes--
we got CHANGE all right. Since Pelosi and Reid took over and Obama became a Senator:

1) Consumer confidence has plummeted;
2) Gasoline is now over $4 a gallon & climbing!;
3) Unemployment is up over 5.5% (a 10%+ increase);
4) Americans have seen their home equity drop by $12 TRILLION DOLLARS and prices
still dropping;
5) Millions of American homes are in foreclosure;
6) Several major banks and investment firms have failed; 2.5 TRILLION DOLLARS
has evaporated from stocks, bonds, and mutual fund investment portfolio

Well stated there Kid, but facts are not what liberals want to talk about. And that is fact.

OD ..you're right....Obama was just RUDE at the debate....Rolling his eyes, smacking his lips and constantly interrupting....But according to him, no one listens to him and he is always interrupted....mainly because he has nothing to say and nothing no one wants to hear. Was Rosh Hannah a federal holiday/....is that why Congress couldn't work..I'm federal and I didn't get the day off..what gives?

Corapeakekid seems to have forgotten a few stats:

1. Deregulation of banking and savings & loan institutions established under the Bush administration is the cause of the financial collapse of the US economy TODAY. (Democrats prefer regulations)

2. The war on Iraq (Bush administration) cost us the lives of 4177 US troops as of October 1, 2008. Bin Laden is still alive, not to mention the trillions of dollars we're paying for this war while Iraq sits on its own trillions.

3. Regan's trickle down theory was a get-richer-quick scheme for the already rich, wealthy and mega corporations. McSame offers the SAME plan.

4. Why would any American need a $5000 insurance credit when over 2 million would loose their insurance because of it? The credit is a joke just like McSame.

5. Bush & McSame both voted to give tax breaks to companies that ship jobs off shore. Customer service for Washington Mutual is in Costa Rica. Wouldn't those jobs help US citizens pay their mortgages?

Say what you will, it is the Republican doctrine to feed the rich and starve the poor. Real change is on the way....YES WE CAN!

Terca, deregulation of the S & Ls came under the Reagan administration.

Explain how 2 million would lose their insurance. Heath CARE is available for anyone, even illegals. Health INSURANCE is a privilege, not a right.

All policies/bills by any presidential administration must be passed by Congress (thats both houses). If you want to blame anyone, blame Congress. They have gave Bush the green light for Iraq.

You want more money in your pocket? Drop your representative a line asking him/her to do something NOW about our energy crisis. Hint: More refineries, domestic oil exploration & drilling, nuclear powerplants and updating the national electrical grid. Wind, solar and alternative fuels are yet to be efficient, financially feasible and are not going to happen anytime soon. Drop the price of a barrel of oil and watch your grocery bill decrease. Drop the price of a barrel and watch the price of other goods and services drop like newspaper subscriptions, a new set of tires and medication. Pretty simple. But your candidate has no desire to do anything about it. Punish you into submission.

Challenges of Spreading Islam in America and Other Essays (Paperback)
by Dr. Faissal Fahd; al Mansour, Dr. Khalid Abdullah Tariq Al Talal (Author)

This is the good man that paid for Obama's college education. Amazon.com is "out" of stock and will not comment on when it will be avaialble again for purchase The timing of this is very suspect wouldnt you say? Barry said outright this man was a mentor as well, Now take the time and read Barry's two books and see his ties to the Muslim world and its teachings.He had to hire an attorney to help in his not having to produce his original birth certificate. Wonder why? Oh and the lawyer is chief legal advisor to CAIR..Council American and Islamic relations, its geeeting deep and the MSM refsues to report these things.But will take the time to critize a woman who elected to have a child that is considered a special needs child and not have a abortion. The sam type of idiots that would offer her daughter 25 m million to go and have one. And Barrys gets upset when one brings up his past?The same goes for liberals in general.
