Special council meeting Monday

The Suffolk City Council will hold a special meeting on Monday to discuss the city’s relationship with the Southeastern Public Service Authority (SPSA).
Mayor Linda T. Johnson called the meeting for Jan. 26 at 6 p.m. in the city council chambers at 441 Market St. to consider and discuss the contractual relationship with SPSA, action on a resolution concerning the proposed increase in municipal solid waste tipping fees proposed by SPSA, and related matters.

This is a very interesting subject to our taxpayers. Can you obtain anymore information on what justifies the fee increase?
