History ignored on Jan. 20

Published Tuesday, January 27, 2009

I am a resident of the city of Suffolk, and I totally agree with the gentleman who wrote to you in your Jan. 25 issue concerning the Obama Inauguration coverage.

The Suffolk News-Herald did not cover the inauguration in a respectful or decent manner. We received no picture of the family, as appeared in other newspapers.

As a paying customer, I am most certainly not pleased.

We made history! If someone has a different opinion about the Obamas, so be it. He’s president of the United States.

As the previous gentleman wrote, you publish arrests and land transfers, yet you skipped this historic moment.

Whoever was in charge of handling the newspaper should have acknowledged this issue. You have disappointed many of your subscribers.
