Boy injured in ATV accident

A 6-year-old boy was seriously injured in an accident involving an all-terrain vehicle Friday.
Emergency personnel were called just after 6 p.m. to the Holland Volunteer Fire Department, where the child was brought following the accident. The incident occurred in the 200 block of Bott Lane.
The child was taken by Nightingale to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. The hospital reports that he is in serious but stable condition.
An investigation into the details is under way.
