Death, Taxes and Two Trillion Lies

Published Tuesday, October 27, 2009

President Obama promised not to raise taxes on people earning less than $200,000 per year and has vowed not to increase the national debt “by one nickel.” He promised his trillion-dollar stimulus plan would keep the unemployment rate below 8 percent. (Last month, our unemployment rate was 9.8, the highest it’s been in 26 years.)

In January 2008, then-presidential candidate Obama promised not to negotiate behind closed doors with health care lobbyists. In fact, he committed to broadcasting those negotiations on C-SPAN so that the American people could see what the choices are.

Yesterday, Politico reported that aides to President Obama and Democrat Senator Max Baucus met with corporate lobbyists in April 2009 to help “set in motion a multimillion-dollar advertising campaign, primarily financed by industry groups, that has played a key role in bolstering public support for health care reform.” I turned on C-SPAN, but I couldn’t find any mention of the Obama administration’s lobbyist meeting.

After his election, President Obama said, “Transparency and the rule of law will be the touchstones of this presidency.” And we all watched the stunning hypocrisy, as senate Democrats met behind closed doors to determine our socialized healthcare fate.

One promise President Obama intends to keep: “When you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.” This is why he is pushing his healthcare plan so vigorously.

Obamacare is a major stepping stone in his strategy of income redistribution. President Obama says that our healthcare system is in crisis and needs to be fixed now.

James Madison once said, “Crisis is the rallying cry of a tyrant.” I tend to side with him.

How do we Americans, sort through all of the deception to find the truth? Well, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid slipped up on Oct. 15 and let Americans hear the truth. $2.4 TRILLION! Americans can do the math! There are now 305.5 million people living in this country. If annual health care expenditures are going to be $2 trillion, then this amounts to $6,546.02 for every man, woman and child. A family of 4, for example, will have to come up with $26,184.07 to pay for government health care. Every year.

If the Democrats succeed in overhauling health care, the average American family will bear the costs. The Senate Finance bill is effectively a middle class tax increase, and according to the Joint Committee on Taxation those making less than $200,000 will be hit hardest.

And, what will we be paying for? Doctors’ visits for those who couldn’t otherwise afford it? What happened to Medicaid? I thought that’s what THAT social program was for. But wait, Medicaid doesn’t cover abortions.

Back in August Congress passed legislation that included the provision for public funding in the case of all elective abortions.

A report by the Associated Press in early August confirmed that the legislation would allow the government plan to cover abortions and “recast federal policy” on abortion.

What happened to Medicare? THAT social program was made to help seniors with their coverage. Aging baby boomers and existing elderly will be among the groups hardest hit.

After wading through the rubble of Obamacare and getting down to the hard facts, what do we find? A lot of death, additional taxes, and two trillion lies — all with the goal of replacing the greatness of America with a vast mediocrity.

Slippery is the slope that leads to a socialist America.

All this guy is a politician who can read a TelePrompter like a pro, but who is clueless about economics and global politics, and who constantly reverts to the failed policies of the Carter Administration. Has never made a diffcult decesion while a state senator, or a memember of the congress. Present was his vote. It took him over 6 months to say yes for a dog.
And now it looks like GM needs another bailout even after declaring bankruptcy. Anyway, it turns out the super-geniuses may not have saved GM as good as they thought they did, because GM is fixin' to ask for another bailout. How many times are they going to get all of this wrong again?I think it's important to note that JFK got us into Vietnam in the first place and the war was not fought to be won. Kind of reminds you of what the messiah is doing in Afghanistan. He takes on Fox news and is losing on that front as well. Can anyone name one policy he has introduced that isnt coddled as big government with big spending?
Truth you say? Obama fears the truth like Dracula fears the sunlight. As a independent who tilts to the right often I found in my political thinking that If Obama wasn’t laid-back and had spent years being incredibly cautious about taking the lead on anything controversial, he never would have beaten Hillary in the primaries or McCain in the general, because people would have looked at his agenda and thought: Al Shapton on Prozac. But you can’t fake going 20 years at just laying back, never taking the lead on anything and never being pushy against your own core supporters when they’re taking you off a cliff. So it’s in Obama’s DNA to be afraid of conflict with anyone who’s not a conservative/Republican, and it’s that fear that makes him incompetent as a leader.
He can’t challege Pelosi or Reid in Congress, and he can’t challenge people like Ahmedinejad or Putin on the world’s stage because that would mean he’d have to lead by providing a strategy. That’s not his style. Other people are supposed to provide the strategy, and then Obama gives a speech, the media has a orgasm and Chris Matthews has his moment and he Obama takes credit. And then smokes a cigarette. Force him to use another formula, and he’s lost, including being ignorant of the real world and politics of the country.
To make it worse, it’s like Obama wakes up every morning and asks himself, “What can I do today to be a worse President than Jimmy Carter?”, and then does it.
Obama must be thinking that he is a pilot. In aviation when a pilot flies into a mountain its called CFIT (Controlled Flight Into Terrain.) That is when a pilot drives a perfectly good airplane into the side of a mountain because he/she is distracted or incompetent.

Whatever the cause, it doesn’t end well.....

Amen, OD. Here's what gets me though: the man is doing nothing that we didn't for which we did not have forewarning when he was running for president. He is doing EXACTLY what he said he would do. The results may not be what he promised, but how many others predicted these results? Yet, people still drank the Kool-Aid and voted for him - for "CHANGE"! Well, people, you asked for "change" and you got it. The "change" is those few pennies you'll have left in your pocket when Obama's done with you.

His policy making is no more than turning over a Magic 8 ball.

Mandating people to buy federal health insurance could be constitutionally dicey. But no one cares on the left. Reid, Pelosi Obama are attempting to walk all over the Constitution.

Whether such a requirement would be constitutional under the Commerce Clause is perhaps the most challenging question posed by such a proposal, as it is a novel issue whether Congress may use this clause to require an individual to purchase a good or service.
The government has never required people to buy any good or service as a condition of lawful residence in the United States. An individual mandate would have two features that, in combination, would make it unique. First, it would impose a duty on individuals as members of society. Second, it would require people to purchase a specific service that would be heavily regulated by the federal government.
Many on the left parrot the notion that forcing people to buy health insurance is like the way people are forced to buy car insurance. There are many people who don’t own cars by choice, thus they don’t have to obtain car insurance. We have no choice with having our bodies.Duh?
So if this becomes a big detractor, (the liberals wont let it) but if it does, what sits on the Supreme Court? Liberal activist. The balance of power on the court is nothing but politics. You dont think that this isnt part of the big plan. If not you/we could be sadly mistaken.
