An autopsy Wednesday confirmed the death of 27-year-old Cathy Moseley was in fact the cause of multiple stab wounds.

Her body was discovered in a vehicle located in Isle of Wight County Tuesday. Her husband, 32-year-old Darren Moseley, is currently being held for his alleged connection in the murder, and has been charged with first-degree murder.

During the investigation, police said Cathy had been reported missing by her husband and mother Monday. Both reported they had not seen or heard from Cathy since Friday. Darren told police that his wife had left their Causey Avenue home while he was out purchasing cigarettes after having a discussion about trying to “fix their marital problems.”

Also Wednesday, the family released funeral arrangements for the victim.

Funeral services for the Lakeland graduate and mother of three, Cathy, will be held Saturday, Oct. 31 at 1 p.m. at the Lakeview Baptist Church with the Rev. John E. Jones officiating.

Harris Funeral Home is coordinating the arrangements and has set up a place on their Web site, www.vharrisfuneralhome.com, where people can leave their condolences.

Maybe this "man" this "husbands" demise is caused by a shank while in the system. It would be fitting.

I'm sure that he had this already planned. He should get life, make him suffer in jail for the rest of his life and think about what he has done and know that there children will grow up with no parents.

My heart is sadden to see a young lady of color, hard worker, and a good person fall to a senseless crime, at the hands of someone who claim they love you. The wedding vows states from death do u part, but ur not the one to take it upon ur self to cause the death. Besides, there 3 childern w/o neither parent right now. My prayers are with the family.

2 Timothy
djmack here is your bible verse 2 Timothy 3: 1-8

1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

What does her being a young woman of color have to do with it being sad? Black, white, asian, mexican, whatever, a life was taken and its just as sad no matter what color you are.

I hope her husband gets what is coming to him and I pray that someone will look after the kids well. Not only have they lost a mother they have also lost a father. Could you imagine? Very sad!

Cathy was such a beautiful young women who saw no color. I remember fondly the huge hug that she gave me at graduation and every time that I saw her afterwards. I will miss that.

Cathy was a very sweet young lady. She was indeed a pleasure to have in the classroom. Cathy did not deserve this. My prayers and thoughts are with her family.
